Shane and Chris Houghton are the creators of the Reed Gunther series, Shane is the writer and Chris does all the art. If you have not checked out Reed Gunther yet, first of all you’re insane, secondly it’s about a bear riding cowboy who travels around fighting mythical beasts, urban legends, and generally mean stuff. We spoke in length about their creation process behind Reed Gunther and what it’s like making one of the best all age’s comics on shelves. Shane and Chris had some great stories to share with me including spending time with their mentor Richard Starkings and their great pitch proposal to Image comics. I want to thank Chris and Shane for talking with me, these are two of the best dudes working in comics right now, and Reed Gunther shines because of it.
